瞬間は永遠である。
永遠は今である。
この瞬間を通して見ているとき、
あなたは観察者の視線を通して見ている。

これは中国の13世紀の詩人、無門彗開（むもんえかい）の言葉です。私たち人間は、過去や未来についてさまざまな感覚を持っています。素晴らしい体験をした過去は、自分がこんな人間だという勲章のような感覚を与えてくれるし、未来には、たゆまぬ努力によって素敵な人生が待っていると信じています。私たちは過去に陶酔し、未来を予測して、因果関係のない栄光を作り上げて自己満足したり、逆に否定的になって落胆したりします。誰でもよりよい人生を生きたいと思い、どうしたら幸せになれるかを探求し続けます。しかし、ワンネスの世界には、時間は存在せず、永遠の今があるのみです。私たちが経験している過去はすでになくなり、未来はまだ来ていません。すべての宝は、今この瞬間にあります。

ワンネス

　ワンネスとは、ある人にとっては「神」であり、またある人にとっては「宇宙のエネルギー」であり、「宇宙の法則」と呼んでも差し支えありません。ノンデュアリティー（非二元論）の中でワンネスという言葉が使われています。万物はすべて境目がなく、一つであるという考え方です。人間も動物も物も、マインドも、ワンネスの表現です。

マインドの動きを観察する

　私たちは、幼いころからさまざまなことを頭にインプットし、マインドはその素材を使ってさまざまな未来を予測します。例えば、「一生懸命勉強しないと○○大学に合格しない」や、「たくさん食べないと元気になれない」や、「一生懸命働けば生活が楽になる」など、さまざまな因果関係を教え込まれています。まったくそんなことはないと全部否定したりはしませんが、本当にこのような因果関係があるのでしょうか？　一生懸命勉強して模擬テストの偏差値も十分だった人が東大に不合格になったりします。適当に勉強した人が、前日に勉強した内容が試験に出て有名大学に合格することもあります。
　マインドのいうことを聞いてくだらない未来のストーリーを作るのはやめませんか？ 私たちのマインドも、頭の中ででき上がったストーリーも、宇宙のエネルギーの表現のひとつに過ぎません。まったく努力しなくてもいい、と言っているわけではありませんが、不必要に不安になるようなストーリーを作らないほうがいいと思います。どうしても、そのようなストーリーが頭の中で展開されているのなら、傍観者になって、自分の頭の中にできたストーリーを外側から眺めることをお勧めします。物質も出来事も思いも、刻一刻と変化します。どんな物や人でも、じっと見つめられると逃げ出したくなるものです。例えば、あまり関係ないかもしれませんが、私の場合は、体重を毎日四回測ることにしています。常に観察されていると、体重もたまったものではありません。増えることはできなくなるからです。
　こーなるんじゃないか、あーなるんじゃないか、という不安が湧いてきたら、その不安をただただ観察してください。私たちが不安に思っていることは、ただの予測でしかありません。未来は誰にもわからないのです。

神様の恩寵がくればスーッと成功する

　今この瞬間に楽しんでいるかどうかが問題です。楽しいことの先には宝物が待っています。特にクリエイティブな仕事をやっている人は、いやいやながら作った作品は誰も喜んで観てくれません。面倒くさいなぁ～、と思いながら作ったものは、作った人が面倒くさいと思っているのだから、それを観る人も面倒くさくなるわけです。まず、自分がワクワクすること！　最初は自己満足でもいいから、とにかくエンジョイすること！　今という時間はもう二度とゲットできませんからね。成功は、人並み外れた努力と強靭な精神力によってのみ達成できる、という人が多いと思います。でも、私たちの人生はジグソーパズルのようなもので、最初から決まっている絵を完成させているのだとしたら、パズルの中の美しいバラの部分のピースがはめ込まれたら、スーッとすべてが明るくなり、トントン拍子にうまくいくのかもしれませんよ。
　うまくいかない時は、何をやっても、どんなに頑張ってもうまくいかないものです。編み物でいうと、柄もなく糸も一色で単調な部分を編んでいるようなものかもしれません。でも、そういう時はそういう時期なんです。そういうものだと思って、それでもあきらめないで頑張っていると、必ずスーッと成功する時があります。

The mind is creating the story of life.

　This is a quote from the Wumenguan (Gateless Barrier), a 13th-century Chinese Zen text. We humans, hold various feelings about the past and the future. A past filled with wonderful experiences gives us a sense of pride, as if it were a medal proving who we are. In the future, we believe that a wonderful life awaits us through unremitting efforts. We look back at the past with intoxication and predict the future, building a groundless glory to satisfy ourselves. Conversely, we also become negative and fall into despair. Everyone wants to live a better life than anyone else and continues to search for how to become happy. However, in the world of oneness, time does not exist; there is only the eternal now. The past we experienced is already gone, and the future has not yet arrived. All treasures exist in this very moment.

Oneness

　For some people, oneness is "God." For others, it can be called "cosmic energy" or the "laws of the universe." The word "oneness" is used in non-duality. It is the idea that all things have no boundaries and are one. Humans, animals, objects, and the mind are all expressions of oneness.

Observe the Workings of the Mind

　Since childhood, we have taken in various things, and the mind uses them to predict a variety of futures. For example, we are taught various causal relationships, such as "If you don't study as hard as you can, you won't pass XX University," "If you don't eat a lot, you won't be healthy," or "If you work as hard as you can, your life will become easier." While we cannot completely deny that such causal relationships exist at all, is it always true? There are times when someone who studied hard and had a high enough deviation score on mock exams still fails to gain admission to the University of Tokyo. On the other hand, someone who studied casually might pass and get into a famous university because the material they studied the day before happened to appear on the exam

　Why don't we stop creating future stories based on what we hear about the mind? Both our minds and the stories created in our heads are expressions of cosmic energy...
