Hello, everyone!
Today, I want to consider what happens to people who refuse to learn from their mistakes and reflect on the importance of learning from our own experiences.

No matter how smoothly life is going, we must always stay prepared for adversity. A simple, clear example is financial management. People who habitually spend recklessly are, in fact, learning a tough life lesson about what happens if they keep that behavior. There is no guarantee that we can always remain in the same stable environment forever. It is not impossible for all our wealth to vanish in an instant because of unpredictable disasters like earthquakes or tsunamis.

Even if it is not that extreme, unexpected moments in life can arise when you urgently need a substantial amount of money. The exact same rule applies to our health. If you keep eating sweet or salty foods, thinking "just a little bit is fine," those bad habits will accumulate and could eventually lead to serious illnesses like diabetes or kidney disease. Badmouthing others or venting frustrations in relationships follows the same principle—all of these negative actions loop back and may ultimately return to harm you.

Furthermore, in our daily routines, we sometimes encounter unreasonable and unpleasant situations. For example, becoming the victim of aggressive driving on the road, such as being cut off forcefully or tailgated tightly, is one of them. What kind of fate awaits a driver who enjoys causing such malicious distress for fun? Such a person will eventually cross paths with an even more formidable driver—perhaps someone like a mobster's wife, or even an undercover police officer. For those who repeatedly engage in terrible behavior, the law of cause and effect ensures that an appropriate, painful consequence will naturally come back to them. That is exactly why we should use their poor behavior as a negative example to maintain our own integrity and choose a path that leaves no room for regrets.

This law of cause and effect, along with the weight of our past actions, often manifests right before our eyes in unexpected ways during the later chapters of our lives.

I still vividly remember a post I once saw on an online life-advice column. The person seeking advice was a woman in her 70s. She was deeply distressed because her two sons, both in their 40s, had a terribly broken relationship and could not get along at all. According to her story, because her eldest son suffered from asthma when he was a child, she raised him with excessive indulgence and completely spoiled him. Even when the eldest son bullied the younger brother, she would only give empty, verbal warnings like "stop that," without ever genuinely stepping in to halt the fights. She admitted she always turned her back and fled from those situations.

Now, she deeply regrets her actions, fully aware that her past refusal to face and address her parenting mistakes has come full circle, returning to her as the painful reality of her sons' bitter estrangement.

Human nature is inherently fragile and weak. That is precisely why we must refuse to turn a blind eye to our own actions and commit ourselves to small, continuous daily updates. Rather than dwelling on past failures, turning today's lessons into tomorrow's wiser choices truly paves the way to a fulfilling life without regrets.
